Tottenham are in talks to secure Manchester City’s Savinho and Marmoush as part of a busy summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are making significant progress in their negotiations to acquire Manchester City forwards Savinho and Omar Marmoush. Under the guidance of manager Roberto De Zerbi, Spurs aim to enhance their attacking options amidst a notable summer investment spree.

The club has already committed to substantial spending, totaling £229.5 million on new signings, and further additions of Savinho and Marmoush would conclude what has been an eventful transfer window for the north London outfit. Discussions with Manchester City are reportedly ongoing, although no contracts have been officially signed yet.

Tottenham had previously shown interest in Savinho last summer, but City decided against selling the Brazilian forward at that time. Notably, he was absent for City’s recent Community Shield match, where they faced off against Arsenal and suffered a 3-0 defeat. Meanwhile, Marmoush, who served as a backup to star striker Erling Haaland, has also been linked with a move away from City this transfer window.

Bringing in both players would not only strengthen Tottenham’s offensive depth but also cap off a proactive summer for the club. They have made several strategic acquisitions and welcomed free transfers, including prominent names like Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Martin Dubravka.

Financial stability allows Tottenham to pursue these targets without risking compliance with regulations. Their spending spree is supported by majority owners ENIC’s renewed commitment to investing in the club, along with lucrative player sales, such as Luka Vuskovic’s transfer to Brighton for a guaranteed £46 million.

Earlier this month, De Zerbi hinted at the potential for a surprise signing, describing his pursuit as a “bomba” move. With concerns about their current attacking power—especially with Richarlison’s contract nearing its end and Dominic Solanke dealing with injury challenges—there is an urgent need for reinforcements in the front line.

Marmoush enjoyed a strong spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, with an impressive haul of 15 goals in 17 matches prior to his move to City. Spurs are hopeful he can replicate such form in their shirt. Adding both attackers would provide De Zerbi with the firepower necessary to bolster Tottenham’s ambitions to compete for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

As the transfer window edges closer to its deadline, Tottenham’s primary focus remains on finalizing agreements with Manchester City for both Savinho and Marmoush. Success in these negotiations could position De Zerbi’s side as one of the league’s most formidable offensive units.
