Jon Bon Jovi ends his Madison Square Garden show early due to a sinus infection, promising fans he will figure out a way to reschedule.

Jon Bon Jovi’s penultimate performance at Madison Square Garden had to be cut short on Thursday night after the frontman revealed he was unwell due to a sinus infection. The show, a part of the band’s ongoing residency at the famed venue, was halted about 90 minutes into the set.

Addressing the audience, Bon Jovi expressed his disappointment, stating, “I haven’t talked to anybody about anything, but don’t throw away your ticket stubs. I’m going to figure something out, OK? Just hold onto them, we’ll figure out how to reschedule. But I’m going to have to cool it for the night.”

He wrapped up the early show by reassuring fans, saying, “I’ll see you again soon.” Following the unexpected end, a representative for Bon Jovi provided an update to People, indicating that the singer has been struggling with a sinus infection, which led to the abrupt ending of the concert. They confirmed that Bon Jovi has expressed immense joy about returning to live performances.

This concert marks a significant moment for Bon Jovi, as it comes after he underwent vocal cord surgery in 2022, which took him away from performing frequently. The current “Forever” tour encompasses the Madison Square Garden shows as well as upcoming performances across the U.K. and Ireland, marking a heartfelt return to the stage for the band.

When the tour was announced, Bon Jovi expressed his gratitude towards fans and the band, stating, “I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring.”

The last concert of the New York residency is scheduled for Sunday, after which the band will embark on tour dates in Edinburgh on August 28, Dublin on August 30, and two performance dates at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 4 and 6.
