Joe Budden Engaged to Shadée Monique

Rapper Joe Budden proposed to girlfriend Shadée Monique days before his 46th birthday, marking a significant milestone in their seven-year relationship.

Joe Budden is officially off the market.

The rapper and podcast host proposed to longtime girlfriend Shadée Monique in an Instagram Reel captured by Elliott Wilson. In the video, Budden can be heard saying, “We’re doing it or what? I’m part of it. All right, here we go. Here we go.” This milestone arrives just days shy of Budden’s 46th birthday, which is on August 31.

The couple has been together since the summer of 2019 and recently celebrated their seventh anniversary in July 2026. The proposal was not a complete surprise, as the two had openly discussed their wedding plans on their joint podcast, Pod Wives.

Shadée Monique, a Houston native and entrepreneur, operates the clothing boutique Bawdy Essentials and co-hosts Pod Wives alongside Budden. She also serves as a recurring off-camera voice on The Joe Budden Podcast.

Their relationship became public gradually, starting with a soft launch in June 2021. By July 2022, Budden made their relationship official with a full post to mark their third anniversary, where Shadée expressed her sentiments, saying, “Happy Anniversary baby….3 Years down and a lifetime to go.”
