Paris Saint-Germain is poised to finalize a significant addition to their squad, agreeing on a €50 million transfer fee for Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche. The 24-year-old French international has made the trip to Paris to undergo a medical examination as he prepares to sign a long-term contract.

The imminent transfer reflects PSG’s strategy to enhance their already formidable front line under head coach Luis Enrique. With Akliouche identified as a priority signing, his acquisition is crucial as the team anticipates the likely departure of fellow winger Bradley Barcola this summer.

Negotiations between the two prominent French clubs reached a swift conclusion when PSG returned with an improved offer after an initial bid of €45 million was rejected. Displaying determination, PSG increased their proposal to €50 million, which Monaco subsequently accepted, paving the way for Akliouche to finalize terms with the capital club.

This transfer marks a notable move for Akliouche, who has spent his entire professional career at Monaco. Representing France at the international level, he has earned ten senior caps and scored one goal. Akliouche was also part of the France squad competing in the 2026 World Cup, making one appearance as a substitute in a group-stage match against Iraq.

As the transfer process enters its final phases, Akliouche is set to solidify his place within PSG’s setup. Following his medical examination, which is the last step before signing his contract, he will commit to a deal that runs until June 2031. His integration into the squad is expected to bolster options on the flanks, enhancing PSG’s attacking capabilities for the upcoming season.
