Top Dividend Stocks Recommended by Wall Street Analysts

Discover three dividend stocks favored by Wall Street analysts for steady income in uncertain markets, including insights on Exxon Mobil and Diamondback Energy.

In light of inflation data, earnings reports, and ongoing tensions in the Middle East, market conditions are challenging for investors. To navigate this landscape, individuals looking for stable income might consider diversifying their portfolios with dividend-paying stocks.

Top Wall Street analysts provide insights into reliable investment opportunities, guiding investors in identifying robust dividend-paying companies. Their recommendations come after meticulous reviews of a company’s financial performance and its capacity to continuously distribute dividends while pursuing capital growth.

Highlighted below are three dividend-paying stocks, favored by leading analysts, as recorded by TipRanks, a platform that evaluates analysts based on their performance.

Morgan Stanley analyst Devin McDermott has recently reaffirmed a buy rating for Exxon Mobil. He has elevated his price target from $168 to $177. This decision stems from revised free cash flow forecasts reflecting quarterly guidance and oil price trends. Importantly, his adjusted estimates indicate a 20% increase in cash flow predictions for the latter half of 2026 and a 7% rise for 2027.

McDermott pointed out that while standalone refiners have benefitted from increased margins, integrated energy stocks have not performed as well, thus presenting value opportunities in major North American producers such as Exxon Mobil, Suncor, and Cenovus Energy.

“XOM’s large global integrated operations and strong balance sheet (0.0x 2027 net leverage) position it as a clear defensive play in an uncertain macro backdrop,” McDermott stated.

He ranks No. 726 among over 12,490 analysts tracked by TipRanks, with his ratings proving profitable 59% of the time and yielding an average return of 9.80%.

In addition to Exxon, analyst Mehta has elevated his forecast for Diamondback Energy (FANG), adjusting the price target from $212 to $220 while maintaining a buy rating. His optimism stems from the company’s capital-efficient volume growth amidst ongoing supply disruptions in the Middle East.

Mehta emphasized their strong operational efficiency in the Permian Basin, mentioning the removal of a capital commitment requirement that provides Diamondback with greater discretion for capital allocation amidst volatile oil conditions.

He noted that Diamondback’s quarterly production figures for Q2 2026, which reached 1,018 Mboe/d, surpassed initial forecasts, buoyed by unexpectedly high natural gas outputs and improved marketing in downstream sectors.

Overall, Mehta projects continued growth for Diamondback, supported by increasing production estimates and solid well productivity, along with an expanding foothold in the Barnett shale region.
