Ange Postecoglou becomes the new head coach of Al Nassr, leading Cristiano Ronaldo and other stars in the Saudi Pro League.

Ange Postecoglou has officially taken the reins as head coach of Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he will lead the illustrious Cristiano Ronaldo. This appointment marks Postecoglou’s return to management after a brief stint with Nottingham Forest, where he was dismissed just 39 days into his tenure last October.

Al Nassr announced the signing of Postecoglou via social media, confirming that he has signed a contract lasting two seasons. The club enjoyed a successful previous season, clinching the Saudi Pro League title with Ronaldo playing a pivotal role under former coach Jorge Jesus. Jesus, who was on a one-year contract, stepped down after Al Nassr’s title-winning campaign, prompting the club to seek a new leader.

Postecoglou’s experience includes winning the Europa League with Tottenham Hotspur in May 2025, although his time at the club was cut short when he was let go in June. His previous accomplishments also include securing a treble with Celtic during his two-season spell, which culminated in five trophies.

In his new position, Postecoglou will oversee a star-studded roster that not only features Ronaldo but also includes notable players like Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman, and Joao Felix.
