Lamine Yamal hosts a star-studded birthday bash after lifting the World Cup, celebrating with friends and Barcelona teammates before returning to training.
Barcelona and Spain sensation Lamine Yamal celebrated his 19th birthday with a grand party in Vilanova del Valles, capping off a historic summer. The forward, who recently added a World Cup trophy to his European Championship medal, is set to rejoin Hansi Flick’s squad after a deserved break.
Yamal has had what can only be described as a dream summer, solidifying his status as one of the most exciting young talents in world football. Just days after turning 19 on July 13, he lifted the 2026 World Cup trophy with the Spanish national team, following his Euro 2024 victory two years prior.
After completing his international duties in spectacular fashion, the Barcelona starlet enjoyed some well-deserved rest before the domestic season kicks off again under Hansi Flick’s management.
The young attacker spent most of his holiday in Colombia, engaging with local fans and soaking up the sun. However, the timing of his birthday coincided with his participation in the closing stages of the World Cup in North America. Consequently, Yamal had to mark his milestone year with a formal celebration upon returning to Catalonia.
As per reports from El Español, the birthday celebration took place at Mas de Sant Llei, a grand country house in Vilanova del Vallès. This venue, often reserved for exclusive corporate events and high-end weddings, provided the perfect backdrop for Yamal to host close friends and family.
With roughly 100 guests in attendance, the event was more intimate than his 18th birthday bash, which had a guest list of over 200 and a distinct “gangster” theme.
The 2025 party set a high bar, featuring famous personalities such as Lewandowski, Gavi, and music stars Nicki Nicole and Bizarrap. While this year’s guest list was more streamlined, several of Yamal’s Barcelona teammates attended to celebrate his recent achievements.
Yamal is scheduled to report for training on Wednesday to kick off preparations for the upcoming domestic campaign. He is among the last group of international players to return to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, having been granted extended leave due to his participation in the World Cup final against Argentina in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Joining Yamal for this final wave of returnees are fellow Spanish internationals Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres. While these players took their full holiday time, others from the squad who reached the tournament’s latter stages opted to return early.
Players such as Gavi, Eric Garcia, Joan Garcia, and Anthony Gordon shortened their vacations, demonstrating a commitment to the new season under the Barcelona coaching staff.
Yamal’s return to Barcelona was slightly overshadowed by unfortunate news from South America. Shortly after his departure from Colombia, a devastating earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck the country.
