Arsenal will not sell Gabriel Martinelli to Galatasaray until they secure a replacement. The young winger faces uncertainty in London.

Gabriel Martinelli is generating considerable interest from Galatasaray, yet Arsenal has made it clear they will not approve a transfer for the Brazilian winger until they find a suitable replacement. As manager Mikel Arteta looks to enhance his attacking options, Martinelli’s future in north London appears uncertain.

Reports indicate that Galatasaray has approached Arsenal to discuss terms for a potential transfer ahead of the upcoming season. Turkish sources suggest that the reigning champions have already tabled a bid of approximately £34 million to bring Martinelli to Turkey.

However, the Gunners have stated they will not consider selling Martinelli unless they sign a new left-sided attacker first. Previously, Arsenal had made a bold attempt to recruit Vinicius Junior, reflecting their ambition to improve their options on the wings. Despite managing only one Premier League goal in 30 appearances last season, Martinelli remains content at Arsenal for the time being.

The club has already added Christos Tzolis to their squad this summer, with the Greek international starting on the left side during pre-season. Tzolis made an impact by scoring on his debut in a 4-1 win over Girona and also provided an assist against Real Betis. His arrival, alongside Bruno Guimaraes, highlights Arsenal’s aggressive approach to recruitment.

Martinelli is eager for regular first-team football to compete at the highest level. While he enjoys his time in London, the prospect of competition from new attacking signings could change his outlook on a move to Galatasaray.

Following a recent victory against Girona, Arteta addressed the media and hinted at upcoming transfer activities. “We expect to have movements in the next few weeks, obviously,” Arteta stated. “We want to get better like anybody else, and you just can see the transfer market and our opponents, what we are doing. We won’t sit still, and we are very ambitious with what we are doing. The margins are very small. Because we want to get better, and the level is going to increase. We need to increase the competition internally. We need to make sure we identify the things that we don’t have in the team.”

As Arsenal continues its pre-season preparations, the club will actively monitor the transfer market for another premium winger. If they manage to secure a suitable target in the coming days, Galatasaray may escalate their interest in Martinelli. In the meantime, the forward must strive to reclaim his starting position and prove his value to Arteta as the Premier League season approaches.
