Lil Wayne Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Lil Wayne is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. The announcement revealed that Wayne is among ten artists selected in the Recording category for the Class of 2027, which also includes notable peers like Karol G, Grandmaster Flash, Sia, Smashing Pumpkins, and Linkin Park.

Wayne expressed his surprise on social media, humorously recounting how his brother Fabian broke the news to him. “Ok so my brother is Fabian right, and he play too fkn much like brothers do….this man just told me that it’s been confirmed that im getting my own star on the Hollywood walk of fame!!!!” he shared, exhibiting a mix of disbelief and excitement. “Wtf boy!! This man play too much bruh! U serious boy??!?!?!!?”

During the press conference where the new inductees were revealed, Ron Frierson, the president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, remarked on the significance of the new class, stating, “This class continues the proud legacy of the Walk of Fame. Performers whose voices moved us, storytellers who expanded our view of the world, visionaries who brought unforgettable characters to life and trailblazers whose influence will be felt for generations to come.”

Other artists who will be honored alongside Wayne include Idris Elba, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, Delroy Lindo, Pedro Pascal, Keke Palmer, and the Fanning sisters, Elle and Dakota Fanning, who will receive their stars in a double ceremony. Although the dates for the ceremonies have not yet been scheduled, the anticipation for these honors continues to build.

In addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame news, Lil Wayne faced other media headlines regarding his personal life this year, especially regarding rumors of his engagement to 23-year-old Madison Cannon, which he has since confirmed did not occur, stating simply, “Sucks.”
