Avatar: Seven Havens’ will debut on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026, promising an exciting new chapter in the beloved franchise.

The new addition to the beloved “Avatar” franchise, titled “Avatar: Seven Havens,” is officially set to premiere on October 9, 2026, on Paramount+. This premiere date is particularly notable for fans since it was originally designated for the release of the highly anticipated movie “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender,” which has since been rescheduled to July 25 due to an earlier online leak.

“Seven Havens” continues the tradition of previous “Avatar” shows, being divided into two “books” that consist of 13 episodes each. Paramount has also released an initial teaser trailer for the show, giving eager fans a glimpse of what to expect.

According to the official logline, the new series follows a young Earthbender who learns that she is the new Avatar, coming after Korra in a world ravaged by a catastrophic event. Her title as Avatar puts her in a perilous position, seen as a potential destroyer rather than a savior. With both human and spirit adversaries in pursuit, she and her long-lost twin must unravel their mysterious origins and safeguard the Seven Havens before civilization’s remnants fall apart.

The series casts Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi.

Notably, “Avatar: Seven Havens” is crafted by the franchise’s original creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who serve as executive producers under Avatar Studios. Ethan Spaulding also takes on the role of executive producer, with Sehaj Sethi listed as a co-executive producer. Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios are collaborating to produce the show.

In the lead-up to this series, “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender” is set to debut with a special screening at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, 2026, before its streaming release the following day. Additionally, the film will have a week-long awards qualifying run in theaters across New York and Los Angeles, replacing its previously planned full theatrical release.

First introduced to audiences in 2005, “Avatar: The Last Airbender” was heralded as one of the greatest animated series and ran for three seasons. Its successor, “The Legend of Korra,” aired from 2012 to 2014, spanning four seasons and further expanding the rich lore of the Avatar universe.
