Erin Kee, a busy mom of two, shares how AI voice memos help streamline her family life and manage her hectic schedule.

Erin Kee, a 38-year-old mom based in Austin, Texas, is the founder of Kee To Wellness and the writer of The Mental Load Memo. With two children under four, she has discovered that managing family life requires far more organization than she anticipated. “Going from one to two kids felt like going from one to four,” she admits. To simplify her busy schedule, Kee turned to AI automation, which she found invaluable in streamlining her tasks.

Every weekend, Kee employs an automated Sunday briefing that compiles her various calendars, including work and personal commitments. This weekly overview highlights important events and potential scheduling conflicts. “It even reads birthday invitations and suggests gift ideas based on age,” she notes. The ability to connect her meal plans to her grocery list has also been a game-changer.

Voice memos have become another crucial tool for Kee. She typically sends at least one long voice message to an AI named Claude each day. “I do a long voice note into Claude at least once a day. If I have feedback or an idea, it’s easier than typing,” she explains. These voice memos allow her to capture thoughts while on the go, whether at her desk or in her car.

With a daughter named Claire, 3.5, and a son named Liam, 1.5, Kee actively seeks possibilities to incorporate AI to improve her parenting techniques. She recently discussed sleep training with Claude, seeking advice on how to ease her daughter into her own bed. Claude suggested a transition plan that includes alternating nights with each parent, aiming for adjustments before school starts in August.

Despite the abundance of parenting resources available online, Kee emphasizes that mothers often don’t need more information but rather systems to alleviate the mental load. “Every time I go online, I’m overwhelmed with lists of things to do,” she says. Her goal is to optimize her routines without adding to her already full plate.

Kee’s practical use of technology illustrates how modern mothers can incorporate AI into their everyday lives, reflecting the blend of technology and parenting in the 21st century. It’s an innovative approach that allows her to not just manage a busy household but also enjoy the moments with her children.
