Rick Ross Explains Absence from Jay-Z Performance

On a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Ross tackled the speculation surrounding his potential appearance, particularly during the performance of their collaborative track “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt” from Jay-Z’s album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. Budden, who was present at the concert, expressed that many in the audience expected Ross to join Jay-Z on stage.

“I was at the show the other night. The Hov show,” Budden remarked. “‘FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt,’ came on. Love that song. Absolutely love that song. There was a large amount of people in there that thought you would be coming out to perform, ’cause everybody came out to perform.'” Ross responded positively to the audience’s expectations, stating, “That feels amazing.”

When asked whether he had received an invitation to perform, or if his absence was due to other commitments, Ross clarified that he was already on the move for work-related purposes. “I was, I most definitely was flying out of Philly to Cleveland to get some munyon,” he admitted. “I most definitely went to go pick up a little munyon. So I’m glad y’all felt the vibrations, you know what I’m saying?”

Despite not taking the stage together for twelve years, the relationship between Ross and Jay-Z remains strong. Ross took a moment to acknowledge Jay-Z’s impact on his career, specifically noting his gratitude for being signed to Def Jam.
